I find the technology which enables one to download a book (either an ebook or an audiobook) to one's computer truly remarkable.

Google Docs

Creating a document in Google Docs seems fairly easy. Since I have no experience creating documents and spreadsheets in Microsoft Office, I cannot compare the two.

Wikis

If I want to participate in the online community I have to trust (radical trust) in its safeguards.

Wikipedia is a great resource and I appreciate having been made aware of it.

Thing 7

I selected three podcasts and listened to them. They are: Blog Out Loud, Cool Podcasts and New Media Picks of the Week. I had found other podcasts geared toward libraries that did not have
audio. I believe podcasting should be useful for the library.

Social bookmarking

I chose the website Amazon.com because I use it a lot and I usually find what I am looking for.

I chose the website Eons and created a new profile. Since I did not have my own photos I uploaded one from the group provided. The website has interesting information on health issues.

Instant messaging is fun. I chatted with my coworker (with help)

Subscriptions

It took me an hour and a half to complete Thing 2 (with help), but it will be interesting to browse the various subscriptions.
